Blipping fast on Scene Radar, new group, CAMELOT, (best name ever), has hit us with the first release of Oliver Stone’s W. It’s been a huge day for movie releases. Awesome. According to the NFO notes, it might not be the best of copies and it seems like they had a bit of a mess to start with, but if you’re anxious to see it, it’s out there. I for one would love to see this, but I might wait for a better copy. I’m a political movie buff and I wait for them the way people wait for High-Action Blurays. 
… I know. Don’t ask. Anyway, third or fourth pre out of CAMELOT and it’s another big one. SEXY.
Quality: CAM - Oh boy. Just watched a bit. It’s got a flicker throughout that’s mentioned in the NFO and the audio has the hollow quality that comes from cams sometimes. Seems that the perspective was corrected to quite a degree but there is still a slight tilt and significant cropping on the sides is evident. Quite pixelated, but the bit rate is relatively low and that should be expected considering the information given. I’d wait… but you might not want to.

The last of the debates, and in my opinion, the best of them so far. Obama seemed way more alive for this one and drove his points home again and again, although McCain unfortunately managed to get in quite a few resonating zingers. Sigh… Oh how I hate the soundbyte culture that we live in. Being articulately verbose doesn’t bode well when you’re brought to the world 4 seconds at a time. Either way… imo, Obama won this hands down, and the more McCain speaks about domestic fiscal policy, the more I start eyeing my mattress as a new home to my money. And dreading the day I ever get really sick. The man has horrible ideas for healthcare, as if the American system is already ridiculous.
So… I watched the debate while in a Skype chat with Krazi (Ninja’s Head Moddess) and War (Ninja Staff) and we started rambling… and I decided it might be a bit amusing to put it here. Finally. I’m about to kick back and watch this, and I’m just hoping beyond hope that it’s not another ridiculous rip like some of the nukes that have revolved around this show the last couple of weeks. The x264 hit first oddly enough, but FQM’s followed not too long after. Anyway, another week, more Vic Mackey, more drama in the streets of Farmington. I’m sure a lot of you have noticed my attempts to cover DiSSENT releases when I can… and this is a bit of an homage to them. They released a significant number of rips this weekend, and what better place than to bring them to the public but here and NinjaVideo. In case you don’t know, or are not too familiar with DiSSENT’s work, they tend to cover Al-Jazeera almost exclusively with the occasional documentary here and there. Quite a serious group, and in my honest opinion, one of the strongest, if for nothing but what are their clear intentions to spread knowledge via piracy. Gotta respect that… You just gotta.

Yea… so this is like the best comedy ever? Yes… yes I think so. I want to say that the first season was filmed on something like a $400,000 budget with the first episode clocking in at a mind boggling $80. It just goes to show you that funny shines through. The utter subversiveness/”we don’t give a f’ck” about anything attitude that this show revolves around makes it some of the most refreshing TV I’ve watched in years.

Imo, this is the best time for sketch comedy… US Presidential Election time. Probably, the most anticipated Vice-Presidential debate in a very long time. Biden vs. Palin. He wiped the floor with her to be honest. A lot of rehearsed answers on her part and real cheap attempts to “connect with the people” with a ridiculous amount of “darnnit” and “shout-out to the third graders at Moose Hunters’ elementary”… That crazy woman scares me. She’s one heart attack away from Ruler of the World if McCain makes it to the White House. Biden on the other hand… though I wasn’t a really big fan of him before, impressed me quite a bit tonight. The general disdain that crossed his face any time Palin opened her mouth endeared him greatly to me. You could literally see him controlling the urge to roll his eyes into the inner realm of his brain everytime she tried to babble something about foreign policy. That was AWESOME. Anywho, yay for private trackers with ridiculously dedicated internal rippers. Btw, very big likelihood this will not be hitting either usenet or the public trackers, so I would highly suggest using the NinjaVideo or finding one of the streams via the News Sites.
