BlizzCon is the official Blizzard Convention which is held yearly, where Blizzard announces and shares a lot about their upcoming games, expansions and updates. If you’re unfamiliar with Blizzard you must have never played a game in your life, but basically they’re one of the biggest (the biggest?) game developers of RTS/RPG and MMO games, perhaps most notably in the past few years the developers of World Of Warcraft and its expansions.

This years BlizzCon was held this weekend and for the first time it was streamed live as a pay-per-view event online. As expected, someone has recorded this event and it has appeared on online. No scene release has yet been pre’d however. Personally I’m mostly excited about the updates on Diablo 3 but expect a lot of news about World of Warcraft and Star Craft 2 as well. Ozzy Osbourne also puts on a show at the end of the last day.

Quality: The quality of the recordings are not the best, but this is to be expected from a p2p release. These are stream rips after all, so don’t expect it to be 100% glitchless either. There don’t seem to be any aspect ratio issues but the audio does un-sync when you skip forward (at least in VLC media player). When you just play it without skipping things seems to work fine though.

I definitely agree with you ReeGed….can’t hardly wait for Diablo 3…but as a side note, is anyone disappointed with the revealed classes thus far? Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Wizard, and now the Monk….meh…..

That 5th class better be something stellar or else I’m not sure I’ll buy the collector’s edition….maybe not buy it at all, just rent the game…

Diablo 3 is looking pretty awesome and I like the classes so far including the monk. I plan on buying d3 as soon as possible. Starcraft looks pretty good too but its no diablo.

starcraft requires more skill to play then WoW or diablo
in my opinion i like it more
diablo-is just running around having people run you through levels and shit ( basically same as WoW )
WoW-is basically the same thing but has no end and you have to pay monthly

starcraft-you have to play different people and change strategies as the game progresses with a constant intense battle you have to outthink the other player ( yes wow has this too [ in the arenas ] but all you do is run around in a circle getting healed and attacking )

Comparing Starcraft, Diablo, and WoW is like comparing apples, oranges, and peaches….they’re all fruit(games) but very different from each other (ie different genres)…in the end, it simply revolves around what the individual enjoys the most.

@ everyone else who responded to my comment:

I guess I’m in the minority when I feel a sense of apathy surrounding Diablo 3 character classes. None of them to me seem to really stand out or in any way seem desirable to play. What was awesome about Diablo 1&2 was not only it’s uniqueness but also the character classes were unique and fresh….who didn’t want a horde of skeletons following their necromancer? Who didn’t enjoy the feeling of power with the sorceress?

Now? now it’s "been there, done that"….seriously, Blizzard is trodding on well covered ground, so the classes have to be something special….are they? no not really………

Like I said, I’ll probably rent the game but buy it? meh, maybe at the bargain bin sales…..
