So SDC pre’d this game way back in October of last year, but it was apparently nuked for being fake. This is a proper release by HaZMaT of the Guitar Hero: Van Halen for the Wii. It got poor reviews, but I know I enjoyed it anyway as a Guitar Hero game is basically just an expansion pack with new songs from the previous game.
Description: Guitar Hero Van Halen brings to life the flamboyance, virtuosity and unadulterated fun that has made Van Halen one of the most successful and popular rock and roll acts of any era. Along with 19 larger than life musical artists, including Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, The Offspring, Blink-182 and Queen, guitar legend Eddie Van Halen, famous frontman David Lee Roth, dynamic drummer Alex Van Halen and skilled songwriter and bassist, Wolfgang Van Halen, give fans the chance to own the stage and put on show-stopping performances in the coolest, all-new venues from around the world. With over 25 of Van Halen’s greatest hits from “Jump” to “Panama,” the set list crafted for Guitar Hero Van Halen is the perfect combination of high-energy rock that will appeal to a wide range of fans.

Features:
- In the Spotlight with Rock Legends – Guitar Hero Van Halen brings the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees to life, delivering players a unique way to experience the energy, attitude and music from one the most accomplished bands in the world. The game lets Guitar Hero fans join together to shred on the guitar controller, rip on the drum kit controller and wail on the mic as they rock the globe with Van Halen and a host of other artists playing the coolest venues and concerts while rocking out to the ultimate party music.
- I Want it All and I Want it Now – With rockin’ anthems from a host of globally renowned artists spanning various genres of music – including Lenny Kravitz, Weezer, Foreigner, Queen and Blink-182 – coupled with 25 of Van Halen’s greatest hits from “Jump” to “Panama” and three of Eddie Van Halen’s most epic guitar solos – the set list crafted for Guitar Hero Van Halen is the perfect combination of fret rippin’ riffs, party pumpin’ jams and block rockin’ beats.
- We Built This City on Rock and Roll – With tracks ranging from the immensely fun Foo Fighters’ “Best of You” to music showcasing the technical expertise of Van Halen’s “Eruption,” the easy to play, yet difficult to master gameplay that living room legends have grown to love makes a triumphant encore in Guitar Hero Van Halen.
- Enroll in Rock 101 – Even the most advanced rock and roll aficionados will learn a thing or two at the school of hard rock in Guitar Hero Van Halen. While gamers won’t have homework, they will be introduced to information from each song throughout the set list in Rock Facts which become available after completing a song in Career mode.
- You Really Got Me – Guitar Hero Van Halen brings the band back on stage allowing gamers to share in the social and expressive Guitar Hero experience. Virtual rock stars can jam together regardless of physical location in the online Quickplay mode, compete head-to-head in Face-Off, Pro Face-Off, Battle and eight-player “Battle of the Bands” game modes plus create, record, edit and share their own unique compositions in the Music Studio.

This game pre’d for NTSC consoles about a month and a half ago, but here is WiiZARD with the latest in the Final Fantasy line for Wii. This got mediocre reviews (6.2 on IGN and 5.5 on GameSpot), however I know there is a HUGE following for this game so you guys may want to check it out anyway. There was a rarfix file that pre’d also, according to its NFO it may or may not be needed, but chances are you’ll be able to find it wherever you find this game. Also, I’ve included the NTSC release info again in case it was missed the first time.
Description: A thousand years have passed since the events of the original Final Fantasy: Crytal Chronicles. The destruction of the Yuke Crystal during the Great War had at once brought the victorious Lilty Tribe prosperity, the defeated Yuke Tribe apparent annihilation, and the world a new age of science and reason. In this new era exists a rare breed of powerful beings called “crystal bearers,” whose seemingly magical abilities have led them to be feared and scorned by the public. The young mercenary Layle is one such crystal bearer, who has been hired to escort the new passenger airship Alexis, the pinnacle of Lilty technology and a symbol of their current dominance. However, when the Alexis is suddenly besieged by a horde of monsters, Layle comes face-to-face with an adversary thought to have vanished from the pages of history, on a quest that may threaten the future of the world…

Features:
- Enjoy a new chapter of the series that takes place a thousand years after the events of the original Final Fantasy: Crytal Chronicles, where technology has advanced to its peak and magic is considered taboo
- Encounter the first Final Fantasy game developed exclusively for Wii, complete with motion-driven gameplay and intuitive controls that are accessible for gamers of all levels. Enjoy a variety of actions and third-person shooter style gameplay
- Step into the hero’s shoes and experience the action first-hand! Control Layle’s crystal bearer powers to battle adversaries, navigate through obstacles and move objects at will in a highly interactive environment
- Traverse the terrain, swing from high places or take a swim in a world in which all areas are open for exploration
- With an extra Wii Remote, friends and family can jump in to assist the player in times of need

Here’s another Wii release, this time from OneUp. This is the latest in the Karaoke Revolution series by Konami. This game came out in November of last year, no idea why it took so long to hit the scene. Given the reviews, I don’t think anyone minds. At any rate, this might be a fun one to try if you’re into singing or the vocals part of the Rock Band/Guitar Hero games, or if you enjoy having karaoke parties (do people do that?).
Description: Grab the mic and sing your heart out with the brand new Karaoke Revolution! Get the party started with friends or compete to win your chance at stardom. Tailor your gameplay experience with all-new enhanced and customizable characters, a custom venue creator and more.

Features:
- 50 all new songs that are licensed masters, featuring contemporary hits and classic favorites
- Perfect for parties or to play competitively and become a star
- Party Mode: Multiple game modes for up to 16 players to compete with or against each other, create party set lists and jump in and out of the game with ease
- Career Mode: Sing your way to fame and stardom by competing in career mode and unlocking new venues and accessories
- Ten brand new customizable venues, plus 6 fully customizable venues to personalize your own venues
- Players have the option of including the original music videos in the venues
- Create yourself in the game using the new custom character creator, including facial and body morphing
technology that accurately recognizes and scores vocal pitch and rhythm

So here is a game that, despite the low MSRP ($29.99), looks like it actually may be a decent FPS for the Wii. Graphics look decent, and I imagine that the game play (both on and offline) will be pretty fun. According to IGN, this game came out in stores last week, so I’m not sure why we’re just now getting a copy of this from the scene, but hey, better late than never, right?
Description: Get ready for intense, realistic military shooting action on the Wii platform. Grab the Wii remote and lead your squad into battle with tactics and strategies used by the real U.S. Marine Corps. Marines: Modern Urban Comat brings the thrills of first person shooters to the Wii with intuitive Wii controls, deadly AI, amazing squad dynamics, and more!

Features:
- A Compelling Real-World Campaign: This is no arcade shooter! Lead your four-man squad through the deadly streets of Beirut, using the tactics and tools of the US Marine Corps.
- Be a Leader: Both your squad and your enemies feature deadly AI unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Step up and command your squad in the only FPS for Wii that lets you issue orders to your fellow Marines!
- Killer Gameplay: Gameplay controls have been built from the ground up to take advantage of the Wii’s unique motion-based control scheme. Take on your friends in split-screen multiplayer mode!
- Stellar Controls: Aim for the high score with intuitive controls that require only the Wii Remote. The Wii MotionPlus add-on is supported for the most authentic bowling experience to ever warp onto the console!

Here’s the latest “vs. Capcom” fighting game, this time coupled with characters from Japanimation production company Tatsunoko. The graphics look amazing and I’m sure it will be a blast to play with friends and online given the way the Wiimote works. I missed the NTSC post the other day but I’ve added that release info here as well. Enjoy!

So iND pre’d this yesterday, however their release was nuked due to being an incomplete dump (aka scrubbed), which is against the console rules, so here is HaZMaT with a proper release. This game actually got pretty high ratings (8.8 on IGN), which, in my opinion, is rare for Wii games. This is especially strange considering its predecessor only got a 7.8. At any rate, this looks like this will be a fun action/adventure type game, especially for fans of Japanimation.
Description: No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle continues the tale of punk anti-hero Travis Touchdown, the Japanese anime Otaku, and pro wrestling-obsessed assassin. Travis finds himself at the bottom of the UAA (United Assassins Association) rankings and must wage war to become the No. 1 assassin once again. The follow-up to the popular No More Heroes will offer fans infectious, fun gameplay that allows you to wield not just one, but two swords and face multiple bosses simultaneously in bigger-than-ever boss battles.

This game pre’d for PAL consoles in November of last year, but here is BiOSHOCK with the NTSC release of Formula 1. The graphics look better than most Wii games, and in my opinion racing games are the most fun for Wii. I’ve added the release info for the PAL release in case you missed it the first time.

Customizable driver aids will be offered to individual players, so both novice and expert drivers will be able to keep their car on track. In the game’s multiplayer mode, driver aids will enable friends and families of different abilities to play together in wheel-to-wheel split screen co-operative and competitive multiplayer races.
F1 2009 marks Lewis Hamilton’s debut in a videogame and will enable players to take to the wheel of his McLaren MP4-24 Formula One car and battle to retain his FIA Formula One World Championship crown. This game pre’d for NTSC consoles way back in November of last year, but here is SUSHi with the PAL release of a game called Water Sports. Apparently this is supposed to simulate some of the more popular water sports, such as jet skiing, kite/wind surfing, wake boarding, etc. Graphics look decent, and although the premise for the game seems dumb it may be fun given the way the Wiimote works. We never posted the NTSC release but I’ve added its release info as well.
Description: Water Sports gives players the opportunity to go Kite Surfing, Wake Boarding,Wind Surfing and Jet Skiing all without having to get wet or leave your living
room! Challenge yourself on the Wii Balance Board, race against your friend in multiplayer mode, or work together in cooperative Wake Boarding. Water Sports
is designed to be an easy to learn but difficult to master game for the family that feels more like an arcade game than a simulation.

- Experience your favorite sports with the Wii Balance Board
- WakeBoard, WindSurf, KiteSurf, and more around the world in exotic locations
- Single Player, Multiplayer, and Co-operative modes

So apparently this is a game based on an anime movie adaptation of a novel series by Japanese author Hiroshi Mori. It looks to be a combat flight game, and judging by the screen shots the graphics don’t look too shabby considering it’s for the Wii. I would loosely compare this to Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. IGN gave it a pretty high rating and I can imagine given the way the Wii is played (with the Wiimote’s accelerometer) that this is going to be interesting to say the least.
Description: After decades of constant war and fighting, the world has finally come to a lasting peace. But with war being an integral part of their lives for so long, the citizens of the world are desperate for a solution to solve this newfound peaceful life of calm and tranquility. To ease this tension and to appease its citizens, the government has started pursuing a new round of wars. These new campaigns are not a power struggle between hostile countries, but rather sponsored events between private corporations with military-trained personnel contracted by each side to do their biding for them. It is the battles fought by these war contracted corporations such as Rostock and Lautern and the constant media reports on them that satisfy and replace the basic human instinct to fight using the war as a show.
The latest rookie pilot to join the Sky Crawlers, codenamed Lynx, is working his way up the ranks and becomes involved in a secret new military project with the goal of making pilots immortal. Join Lynx on his journey to conquer the skies while unraveling the mystery behind the military’s covert new project.

Seems like the swarm of crappy Wii games continues with Crazy Chicken: Tales. Apparently the ‘Crazy Chicken’ franchise has more than 30 games for PC and NDS, and now expands to the Wii console. This is an action platformer (similar to Super Mario Bros. or Sonic the Hedgehog) that focuses around a chicken named Moorhuhn. Even with the less than stellar reviews this game is sure to get, a fan of platformers may enjoy it nonetheless. This game pre’d for PAL consoles in November, so I’ll include that info in case you missed it.
Description: Embark on an epic quest for treasure and find the true value of courage and friendship in the run-n-jump adventure Crazy Chicken Tales for Wii! Join Moorhuhn and his friends on their greatest adventure searching for the Forsaken Castle of lore. Face deadly traps and cunning fiends as you jump, run or ride on the backs of Moorhuhn’s friends through colorful cartoon landscapes of mysterious woods, rocky mountain ranges, treacherous ice plains and gloomy dungeons.

Features:
- Crazy Chicken’s thrilling debut on Wii
- Play as Moorhuhn, Kroet, Moorfrog and Rambock
- Singleplayer Campaign Mode & Multiplayer Racing Mode
- More than 12 different opponents to overcome or evade
- Two handy weapons for every occasion
- Challenging piggyback rides for various territories
- Hilarious Jump ‘n Run fun for the whole family

So here is the follow up to Aksys’ 2007 flop ‘Hooked! Real motion fishing’. Graphics look subpar, as do most Wii games nowadays, however for the fishing/sim fan this may be a fun one to try out. I couldn’t find much in the way of details, however I’ve posted the description from two different websites (neither of which were Gamespot or IGN), so take that for what it’s worth. Definitely another in the string of low budget Wii games that have come out in the last few months.
Description: Hooked! Again replicates all the excitement and tension of fishing without having to leave the comfort of your living room. Participate in one of the many modes and unlock the latest lures that’ll help you catch the elusive lunker. Once you think you’ve mastered the single player modes, you can take your angling skills to the ultimate test and challenge the best fisherman online. Cast off in search of the big one! Become the world’s best armchair angler as you cast your lure in the world’s most realistic fishing simulator. The realistic fishing controls utilize the capabilities of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. You’ll be on your feet as you twist and pull the Remote every direction to make sure the hook is set, all the while using the Nunchuk to reel like crazy and make sure you haul them in. Make sure to bring your Wii MotionPlus accessory for even more accurate simulated fishing. This game pre’d in early December for NTSC consoles, but here is SUNSHiNE with the PAL release of the newest Tony Hawk game. Even though it got terrible reviews, it still looks like a fun play, and the cool part for the Wii version is that you can incorporate your Mii into the game. You’ll need the skateboard peripheral to play it, so make note of that. I’m also adding the release info for the NTSC release because I don’t think we posted it in December.
Description: Tony Hawk: Ride features a wireless skateboard controller designed in conjunction with the game to offer a dynamic gaming experience built from the ground up. Using a combination of accelerometers and motion sensors, the intuitive controller allows players to physically control the action by performing various movements and gestures on the board that directly translate into amazing tricks in the game. Without complex button combinations or analog sticks, gamers of all skill levels can literally step on the board and play!

- Anyone Can Ride: Featuring different modes tailored to skill and preference, Tony Hawk: Ride is fully accessible to everyone – from hardcore fans to players with no prior skateboarding experience. Without complex button combinations or analog sticks, gamers can literally step on the board to play
- Unique Motion-Sensitive Controller: Using full motion sensing technology, the intuitive skateboard controller allows players to physically control the action by performing various movements and gestures on the board that directly translate into amazing tricks in the game. Here is ZRY with a sequel to an old PC game called ‘Glacier’. I’ve never heard of this, however despite the low budget N64-esque graphics, the gameplay looks like it could actually be fun, especially if it supports online play. It’s a racing game that allows you to use weapons to slow your opponent down (guns and the like). Couldn’t find much on the game, although if you’re into racing games and/or carnage this is probably for you.
Description: Glacier 2 starts at the very top of the Alps: Are you ready to reach insane topspeeds by driving down the mountains of death? While it goes faster and faster downhill, watch out for dangerous cliffs, dodge falling rocks, go aim your rockets, heat up your machine guns and deploy mines to take out your opponents and finish first place!

Features:
- Over the top combat racing action.
- Incredible jumps
- 7 tuned superrides, all equipped with various, deadly weapons from rockets to machineguns and from shotguns to mines.
- 18 Freezing cold levels full of traps, cliffs, mines, falling rocks, canyons and spectacular jumps.
- Full support for Nintendo Wii Remote

So this is Ubisoft’s follow up to ‘My Fitness Coach’ which received decent reviews. Apparently this one focuses more on the nutrition side of things rather than the workout itself, but I’m not too sure. I’m sure this will be a hit for middle aged soccer moms and maybe some teen girls, but past that I don’t see this doing too well. The images are from the first game, as I couldn’t find any from this one, but I wouldn’t expect the graphics too have improved too much (if at all).
Description: Customized fitness and nutrition game in one: personalized workout with over 80 exercises per trainer and 130 healthy recipes based on your goals and needs. As far as I can tell, Playmobil is a manufacturer of toys similar to Legos, however they don’t lock together, they’re just structures and people, and this game is based on that. I wouldn’t expect too much, and to be honest, I wouldn’t even bother downloading it, but I guess some of the younger kids might be into it.
Description: You and your family are going to become Playmobil performers in the funniest, most wacky circus around. Practice your acts to make sure they’re perfect before you perform them in the center ring for the whole crowd.
Perform well enough you’ll unlock more acts in Encore mode. Play with friends and family in 2 exciting multiplayer modes: Co-op and Versus.

Features:
- Play in the Playmobil universe, including characters, animals, and setting
- Play and unlock 16 different exciting and hilarious circus acts
- Perform in single player or multiplayer through 2 different difficulty levels
- Play with up to 4 friends in 2 different immersive multiplayer modes including “Versus” and “Teamwork”
