Here we have a 720p release by ALLiANCE, a remake of the 1988 TV film “The Firm”, this directed by Nick Love who also wrote and directed The Football Factory and Outlaw among others, he is also writing and directing the upcoming new film version of “The Sweeney”. Note: nfo reports wrong runtime, it is actually 87 not 127 minutes.

Quality: Great quality 720p x264 with AC3 audio.

Synopsis: Set in the 1980s, Dom is a teenager who finds himself drawn into the charismatic world of football ‘casuals,influenced by the firm’s top boy, Bex. Accepted by the gang for his fast mouth and sense of humor, Dom soon becomes one the boys. But as Bex and his gang clash with rival firms across the country and the violence spirals out of control, Dom realizes he wants out - until he learns it’s not that easy to simply walk away.

As I mentioned in the XviD by iMBT article, here is the highly anticipated film The Informant! now released in 720p by METiS. Directed by the amazing Steven Soderbergh and starring Matt Damon and even Joel McHale in there too, I’m sure this film is superb, the reviews surely support that view, so enjoy!

Quality: Great quality x264 but with AC3 5.1 audio.

Synopsis: What was Mark Whitacre thinking? A rising star at agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Whitacre suddenly turns whistleblower. Even as he exposes his company’s multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI, Whitacre envisions himself being hailed as a hero of the common man and handed a promotion. But before all that can happen, the FBI needs evidence, so Whitacre eagerly agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase, imagining himself as a kind of de facto secret agent. Unfortunately for the FBI, their lead witness hasn’t been quite so forthcoming about helping himself to the corporate coffers. Whitacre’s ever-changing account frustrates the agents and threatens the case against ADM as it becomes almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of Whitacre’s active imagination.

Just a quick post for those of you who want some proper subs for the 2012 720p release by METiS, independent scene group NukeCouncilor have released a subtitle pack for it which includes English subtitles for only the Non-English dialogue parts too. What’s the point in this when you already have some? Well, these are ripped from the Blu-Ray as-is while the previous ones I mentioned in the 720p post are custom made by editing the full English subtitles down.

A little bit quicker for this one. Here we have a 720p Blu-Ray rip of Amelia by scene group CBGB. As I mentioned in the article for the XviD release by NeDiVx, the film itself has a great cast, but reviews have not been great and I may let this one pass me by.

Quality: Good quality 720p x264 with DTS audio.

Yesterday METiS released a 720p x264 encode of disaster movie 2012, as I mentioned in the XviD article, 150 minutes seems a lot of time to waste on a mediocre film but I’m going to give a try none the less, I will even drop 7GB of my unlimited bandwidth on this 720p just for whatever visual effects there are.

Lets just get this out of the way now, yes this is “late” but problems with the site when this pred, lack of active staff etc etc. So lets get to it, CROSSBOW released both 720p and 1080p x264’s of Law Abiding Citizen almost three days ago. As I said in the XviD release article, I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoyed a good thriller.

Quality: Great quality 720p & 1080p releases, but, with AC3 audio.

Synopsis: Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is an upstanding family man whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered during a home invasion. The XviD of this film was released as a nice present on christmas day. This film is based on the 1891 novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, I am very interested to see this and have heard nothing but good things about it. So enjoy this in 720p from SiNNERS.

ARROW released the XviD of this a little time back and now CROSSBOW brings you the 720p rip. This movie was quite a fun horror to watch. It would surely be enjoyable in HD but i probably wouldn’t waste bandwidth downloading it. It was good, but not that good, but that’s just my opinion. We recently saw a XviD from ALLiANCE, now here is a 720p x264 release of Sorority Row from Blu-Ray by SiNNERS. I saw this film in the theatre and was surprised with it, it was pretty good, I could sort of describe it as a more feminine Scream, but seeing as this is a remake of the 1983 film The House on Sorority Row I should be describing Scream as a generic version of that. Starring Carrie Fisher this was a good laugh at times and I recommend it to fans of the slasher genre!

Quality: Great quality 720p with DTS audio from a competent scene group.

Synopsis: When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret.

Broken.Embraces.2009.LIMITED.720p.BluRay.x264-MELiTE

We posted the BDRip of this the other day and now MELiTE brings you the 720p. This movie has received a fair amount of positive praise. The spoken language in the film is Spanish and a subpack was not included in the BDRip which leads me to believe that it’s the same with the 720p. The nfo doesn’t mention anything about including english subtitles. If you enjoyed this movie and want to get it in 720p, you can do so thanks to MELiTE. Enjoy!

Here’s a movie that received a bit of controversy due to the sexual explicitness of the film. I wont go in to detail but you can look it up if you wish to do so. 9 Songs seems to be more of a romance movie than anything and the synopsis sounds a bit dull. I might give this one a miss but for those who have previously enjoyed this film and wish to get it in HD, you now can. Enjoy!

Quality: Fantastic 720p rip from LCHD

Synopsis: The film tells the modern love story set over a period of 12 months in London, England of a young couple: Matt, a British climatologist, and Lisa, an American exchange student. The story is framed in a personal review from Matt’s perspective when he is working in Antarctica. Their main common interest is a passion for live music and they frequently attend rock concerts together; the film depicts the couple, or Matt alone, watching nine songs at Brixton Academy and other concert venues. It also shows their weekend getaway into the countryside, and their travels around London. Lisa brings their short and intense relationship to an end at Christmas time when she returns home to America.

Synopsis: The teacher of the French School in Bucharest. Clémentine lives with her husband, the writer Lucas, in a remote real estate in Snagow. Along the night, Clémentine is awakened by weird noises outside the old house and Lucas sees their car being stolen. Then the lights are turned off, phone line is dead and they see that their property gate has been trespassed and they are surrounded by weird persons with lights. They hide in the cellar and try to escape to ask for help in a dreadful night of pure terror.

I posted the DVDRip of this release a few days ago and remember a comment saying “I would even get this in 720p just to see Alexis clearer” Well here you go, your wish has been granted. You can now see her ridiculously blue eyes in HD. This movie was actually quite enjoyable. It wasn’t great but it was a fun film.
