Another p2p “patch together” of 2 different sources (including_non_standard_directory_conventions_wtf_), admittedly the best of the p2p scene but still the overall experience is somewhat lacking and I seriously doubt a scene TS would be any better. I didn’t give this a serious watch given the poor quality level but I did download the sample from the release. From the reviews I have read, the movie itself is altogether fairly reasonable for a holly-wood action blockbuster. I will wait for a scene DVDSCR or R5 before I watch the movie and can provide an objective review.

Quality: Quality is predictably abysmal for a TS. To their credit STG and FATAL have patched together a dogs breakfast of bad audio and video and have produced a credible product. A Clint Eastwood movie it’s always a great movie, and this will not be an exception with a 8.1 rating on IMDb. Great cast with actors like Angelina Jolie and Michael Kelly, this is a must watch movie, sure.

Nuke: transcoded.custom.ac3, anyways, can be watched without problems.

Quality: Video looks a few dark, but is ok for a TeleCine, the audio it\’s a few glitched, the general quality it’s decent.

Synopsis: At first, Clint Eastwood’s CHANGELING could appear to be following too closely in the footsteps of his earlier Oscar winner, MYSTIC RIVER, since both films center on a missing child. But while his previous film was based on a Dennis Lehane novel, CHANGELING carries a particular weight because it is based on a true story, and one that isn’t largely known. Angelina Jolie stars as Christine Collins, a single mother working in 1928 Los Angeles when her son goes missing. A boy is returned to her months later by the police, but she is shocked and disheartened when she realizes that the boy isn’t her son. Joined by a crusading pastor (John Malkovich), Christine battles for justice against the corrupt L.A.P.D. while she continues to search for her child.

Well we informed you about this new source earlier. At times it is very reminiscent of a CAM source. It sometimes looks like it re-focuses like you will often see with CAMS. I mentioned in the comments that it might just be a Telecine though, and it looks like this is actually the case. PLUBE have now synced english audio (STG LiNE audio) to the source we informed about earlier and it is a really nice combination.

Madagascar Escape 2 Africa TC XviD-COALiTiON

Well a few days ago PreVail released a nice quality Telecine of this release. They released it as an internal however due to the fact that a couple of minutes of audio was in russian. Well now group COALiTiON have managed to source some english audio which fixes this minor issue. Watching the video sample of this actually makes me wanna see the entire film as well. Looks promising.

Quality: The video quality is very similar to the PreVail release, in fact it looks like its the exact same source. Audio quality is just fine as well. Great to see such an early and high quality release of this film. I can’t imagine the people at DreamWorks are too happy though.

Synopsis: The sequel of the first movie, the New York Zoo Animals, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo, still stranded on Madagascar, started to leave the island. All of a sudden, they landed in the wilderness of Africa. There, Alex soon meet the rest of his family and starting to have trouble communicating with them after much of his time at the Central Park Zoo.

Okay first of all I need to get this off my chest: The way some p2p releasers tag their releases is utterly disgusting. I mean c’mon, its like a forest fire up there. That said, STG seems to have fixed up the problems with the previous scene release quite nicely. Some people are reporting the COALiTION release working fine for them, but it is still nuked for being out of sync, so this release is a safe bet.

Quality: This is quite similar to the COALiTION release, apart from the fact that STG added some filters like usual. Whether you’re a fan or not of filters, I think you’ll find this release looks pretty good and in sync. Check out the video sample for yourself.

Synopsis: Following Jigsaw’s grisly demise, Mark Hoffman, the final apprentice to the serial killer is deigned a hero. Meanwhile, Agent Strahm is tested and puts the pieces together. While Strahm realizes that Hoffman is helping Jigsaw, five seemingly unconnected people face a horrible lesson about teamwork.Strahm follows all the leads he can get off Hoffman, including the death of his sister and why he joined Jigsaw. Hoffman and Strahm circle each other until it boils down to a gruesome and bone-crushing finale.

This release is coming up way too late for our standards, but I’m posting it quickly before I rush off to some obligations. It’s lovely to see some really nice Telecines appear. There was quite a long drought of major telecines before (of course not counting studio telecines, or R5’s as they’re called as well) but they have returned.

This Telecine of the sequel to one of the most popular animated films in recent years came as a nice surprise from group PreVail. I saw the first film quite a while ago and it was enjoyable, but definitely a childrens film. Where some animated films are global and appeal to adults on an intellectual level as well, Madagascar 1 did not. Lets hope this sequel does.

Quality: This looks like a good release. Its a russian source, so the text of the logo in the beginning is in russian for example, but PreVail have synced some english audio to it. The reason this is an internal (meaning it wont get nuked for being kinda f**ked) is because it has about one and a half minutes of russian audio during the middle of the film. Shouldn’t ruin your viewing pleasure immensely though.

Tropic Thunder TC XVID - STG

Usually I don’t like posting about reencodes, but I will do occasionally if I think the quality looks nice. A few days back we reported about the nice TC Surprises (Tropic Thunder and Step Brothers). The Step Brothers TC was flawless and almost looked like a DVDRip. The Tropic Thunder one was a grest quality improvement as well, but not nearly as good as the Step Brothers one. STG is here with a reencode which improves several things. Check out Quality Section below for more details.

Quality: This is a mixture of balds audio and synced with the original russian xvid. Slightly increased chroma, gamma, lum and contrast. RGB black base lowered to get rid of bright spots. A very nice quality release, check out the video sample below.

Synopsis: In the action-comedy “Tropic Thunder,” Ben Stiller plays pampered action superstar Tugg Speedman, who is cast in the biggest, most expensive war movie ever produced. He sets out to Southeast Asia with a “Who’s Who” of celebrity co-stars. Second Telecine of the day! Awesome! A good quality Screener of this film was released exactly one week ago, but this is definitely an improvement in quality. I’ve heard great things about this film and I’m a huge fan of Will Ferrell (Anchorman was one of my very favourite comedy films of all time).

Quality: This Telecine is on a whole different level from the Tropic Thunder telecine which BaLD released just a few hours ago. The video quality on this release could easily be mistaken for a dvdrip and the audio sounds great as well. I’m very happy this was released because I was about to watch the Screener tonight ;D w00t!

Update: Step.Brothers.TELECiNE.DVDR-CarVeR has been released.

Synopsis: Brennan Huff (Ferrell) and Dale Doback (Reilly) are deadbeat man-children thrown together when the single parents with whom they live marry. The two initially despise one another, but become fast friends over a shared love of ninjas, COPS, porno mags, and the comforts of living in the fantasy world of a prolonged adolescence. What makes STEPBROTHERS so much fun, however, has nothing to do with story or script; rather, it’s McKay’s foresight to step back and let Ferrell and Reilly run wild. The duo kick and punch, fart and burp, laugh and cry, yet somehow elevate such banalities to a level of grotesque poetry, hitting upon what feels like an entirely new comedic language.

Tropic.Thunder.TC.READNFO.XViD-BaLD

Awesome surprise here from an awesome group called BaLD. I can’t even remember the last telecine I saw off the top of my head, but here is one of a much anticipated film “Tropic Thunder”. I’ve heard really great things about this film, especially about the performances of Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black. The script to this film was actually written quite a long time ago, so I’m sure this film will appeal to fans of “older” Ben Stiller stuff. Excellent ratings on both IMDB and RT as well.

Quality: Very watchable and listenable. You’ll have to check the samples and decide for yourself, but this is definitely a large step above CAM/TS. Note from NFO: There are 2 small segments of video errors witing the 1st 4 minutes (8 seconds each due to unfixable tc machine issue) that we could have cut to fool you but we decided to leave them in for continuity of audio / movie), rest of film is perfect - enjoy.
