Wow, it’s a busy night. Me and TheBlueMeep are holding down the TV section for you. Here is the new episode of Dexter from 0TV. I read something today about someone on the set of Dexter almost being stabbed in real life when acting was supposed to be going on. Waldo pasted it on IRC. Waldo, paste it in the comments kthx!

Debra and the homicide unit, Dexter and ADA Miguel Prado are all searching for the same serial killer, who is responsible for the death of Prado’s younger brother. Meanwhile at home, Dexter is faced with a decision to make concerning Rita and her kids.

@ 4 (ZPR): no it aint oversized at all 550 is standard for 1 hour comercial free show.

like ya said its not oversized but the previous seasons as well as other 1 hour Showtime/HBO shows did come out as 350MB instead of 550MB. now they do come out in 550MB. they could release it as 350MB if they wanted still. last season of The Wire went back and forth like that. doesnt matter to me.

Well 550MB is the standard file size for 1 hour shows. If they used to release them as 350MB - then they were undersized. Doing simple math will show you what file size is correct.

20min show - 175MB
40min show - 350MB (175 x 2 / 20mins x 2)
60min show - 550MB (roughly 350MB + 175MB)
120min show - 700MB

Contact Music has reported that, actor Jimmy Smits, stabbed a stuntman with a real knife on the set of Dexter. The stunt was supposed to be performed with a prop knife, but for the last take, Smit picked up a real knife by mistake. Fortunately for the stuntman, he was wearing a piece of acrylic clear plastic over his heart, and Smits hit him at the edge of that plastic piece and the stuntman was unscathed.

“For the scene, I was bound in Saran Wrap, duct tape over my mouth,” Chase said. “I couldn’t say a thing as I saw Jimmy grab at the knife. He picked up the real one by pure mistake. It was a mean looking knife.” Chase also said that Dexter star Michael C. Hall was, “yelling at Jimmy to stop, but it was too late.” He said that instead of wearing a metal breast plate in the scene, he wore, “a piece of acrylic clear plastic about the size of a Post-it note over my heart. It was a quarter of an inch thick and not attacked. In eight out of 10 takes with the prop knife, Jimmy had missed the plastic. But by a miracle, an act of God, the knife landed at the very edge of the plastic.”

The stuntman added that Smits, “could not stop apologizing,” but Chase told the actor, “I felt more sorry for him than me.”

Thanks for the post it’s a great show and with regards to the stuntman thingy it’s probably just a fake story leaked by producers or whatever.

Or just maybe that actor is a retard?
