@9. No sir, but I work in the industry. I am a professional camera operator that works on docs, music videos, commercials and independant features. I work both Union and non-union gigs all over the place.

I got started working as talent on commercials many years ago (1991-1993), but loved the camera and busted my ass to work at every level from Grip, Dolly Grip, Best Boy, Key Grip, Gaffer, Clapper/Loader, 2nd A.C., 1st A.C., Steadicam OP, Cammate (crane) OP, Ariel/Tyler Mount OP and "A" Camera Operator for Commercials and Independent films. I have also worked as a ENG/EFP photog for ABCNEWS and freelanced for the BBC (using Betacams, Varicams, Sony Cine Altas, Red One and Various Film cameras), field producer, editor (Avid MC, Final Cut Studio, etc) and Director.

I am currently producing a verite doc series (self funded and no distro yet—too early) and in development on two more docs and a narrative project. I love what I do, I love helping others, I love telling a story. But I do NOT get the negative bullshit from ass hats who know nothing bit consuming and criticizing others hard work with no knowledge to back up their cheeto rimmed mouths.

BTW, I have worked with Richard (NOT on D.D) and he is a great guy. BTW he did not direct S.Darko but I know crew who did work on it.

@Boobies, Because "Suits" don’t fucking get it and they will continue to lose multi 100’s of million dollars to the fucking ether due their severe lack of understanding on the WHY and HOW people "consume" content… maybe I benchmark sites like this because current distribution models are fucked and things need to change in order to better serve the final consumer.

Respect has fuck-all to do with anything, if the Industry does not change, it will die. Evolve or bleed to death. We are currently bleeding to death and the economy will be shit for at least the next 4 years. BTW, I get screeners for a lot a crap I could care less to watch… If I want to watch something decent do you think it is playing at the local theatre… no. Unless I am in Chicago, L.A. or NYC. Also, I need my BBC content. Believe it or not, you will see things change…

Hey man, thank you very much. I really appreciate it. I think what you guys are doing is the evolution of what "we" thought would happen to distribute widely various content from anywhere in the world to anyone in the world back in the ’90’s. Except, you guys alert us to what is out there and the collective "we" are the actual infrastructure/backbone for getting the content. The majors have not figured out how to properly monetize this phenomenon because they want to hold on to their monopolies. If you look at the history of cinema this is not the first time that technology had spurned massive change as to how we get to see content. We have burned this big top before a few times… Unfortunately we are heading in the same direction as the Music Industry. Which at the Major level is deader than fucking disco. Mainstream Pop is dead. Mainstream Rap is dead. The only good stuff out there is smashed and scattered to a thousand small labels all over the world and great content can be very hard to find. The "Suits" still fail to realize that people people are way more complex in their needs and wants than they realize. People are not boxes that are easily quantifiable. If you feed them inspiring, imaginative and diverse content, they will grow for the most in their sophistication and needs for more. If all "we" do is feed them pablum then we an army of assholes like Hankelil_00.

On the topic of working for free or next to nothing… passion, doing great work with great people and helping them succeed is what drives a lot of us. We all need to get paid but that comes along too… I still have mentors, I mentor students. I love blowing their fucking minds at the possibilities. I also donate my time and gear for gratis to help them learn whenever possible. It’s the best feeling in the world.

This movie got popular due mostly to word of mouth - after having already hit dvd. So you know there is something endearing about it. If you don’t like that, go back to watching rocky 15 (or that porn he was in).

haha Idiocracy, that’s what I thought of Obama’s inauguration celebration…
Man if I was president I’d get the top researches in the country to give the nation hope by presenting new technologies, nobel-prize winners to talk of their achievements, not some cheap celebrities giving a speech on "hope" and then singing a short song, both of which some scriptwriter wrote for them.
