360 owners don’t always get the games first; here is F.E.A.R. 2 for the PC users, but don’t start downloading right away, since this release includes only the Steam files, which theoretically can’t be played before release date. Anyways, if you can’t wait, you can download it right now and try to execute the game through a launcher like STEAM-BUSTER or Universal Content Launcher, but we can’t assure you that this will work, so wait some hours and look at the comments of this post to see if users are able to load it that way. Also, note that there is the DVD version out too, but it didn’t include a serial and crack, so there’s no way to play it until it gets cracked.

Description: The second heart-stopping shooter by Monolith (after F.E.A.R.) continues the spine-tingling supernatural suspense story of an escalating paranormal crisis that threatens to destroy a major American city. At the center of the calamity is the mysterious Alma, whose rage against those who wronged her triggered a chain of events that has spiraled completely out of control. Please correct your English!!!! The way that sentence is written implies that there are steam files, separate to the actual game files and that only the steam files have been included. What you meant to say and what is stated in the NFO is that this is the steam version of the game, which means it includes the actual game - but the steam version and not the "steam files" whatever they are, as you put it - two totally different things.

@ 35 (Jessica): OK, so it’s not even the GFC’s but instead just the actual game. All versions of FEAR 2 will have Steam as their choice of DRM (Digital Rectum Molestation). Here I thought it was just the GFC’s. Thanks for the clarification.

ZeroSec you should correct that mistake as it’s pointless to try and use SteamBuster as this contains no GFC’s.

@48 I’m big RS fan but megashares is better for big game files , no upload size limit so you can download the whole thing in one go ( instead of a hundred separate rar files ) which is good cos if one rar gets tos’d on rapidshare then your screwed . plus megashares hardly ever delete anything right away due to illegal content .

Tried installing using PacSteam. It needs serial to install. When I set it to CRACKED mode, install either tells me to shut Steam down and tries to install it OR in the PacSteam "Project Origin Installation" window pops up, but there is a "Please, select games to install" list, and that’s empty, so I can’t select anything, which means I can’t click on "next" and continue installing. Haven’t figured out how SteamBuster or UCL could help me to INSTALL it.

Please note that this file is 18.1 MB. It contains both the crack and the keygen.

Replace the original FEAR2.EXE with the file supplied in the crack. Delete the following dlls in the root directory.

I really wish they named this game something better, They have 5 names to choose and idiots chose Project Origin.. You can’t get more generic then that. I will wait for reviews of this game, I heard the combat system is lame. The first game is still the best and still scares the hell out of me.

Before I get to playing, I thought I should pass on these instructions
======================================================================

Howto:

Required tools:
-Revolution loader v2
-SimPack from LordSte’s post earlier (and SimPack2 from it’s original post here) - Go to http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=51568&start=45
-Latest Steam install
-FEAR2 NRG files from torrent (or disc images that include the SIM/SID files)
-7zip

1) Extract the disc images with 7zip

2) Put the first disc contents in a folder. You will see the following files. Rename them as such:

PROJECT_.SIM -> ProjectOrigin_disk1.sim
PROJECT_.SID -> ProjectOrigin_disk1_0.SID
PROJECT1.SID -> ProjectOrigin_disk1_1.SID
PROJECT2.SID -> ProjectOrigin_disk1_2.SID
etc etc

Do the same for Disk2, but obviously use -> ProjectOrigin_disk2*
Put the files from Disk2 in the folder from Disk1. There will be one file overlap, that’s fine just hit no or yes or whatever.

3) Use the new SimPack and issue these commands:
simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16451 -kF183E845B8A0A340CBD6F7922427D7C1 c:\FEAR2 (or whatever directory you want to export to)
simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16452 -k4E185BE9D186A792EC1E1A03FED362C2 c:\FEAR2
simpack x ProjectOrigin_disk1.SIM -g16454 -kE34CE97D2DC32B73AF5536FD3F07EDF0 c:\FEAR2

4) Go into C:\fear2 (or wherever you unpacked it) and copy the Revolution loader files there. Create a steam_appid.txt in that directory with the number 16450 in it.
Edit rev.ini so it looks like this:
