The first scene release of the remake/revision of Friday the 13th has hit. I haven’t watch much of the trailers for this one but like many I remember the first one from the late 1970s. I personally will be waiting for a DVDRip of this one. Thanks to HooKah. EnJoy!

Quality: Cam. Audio is fairly decent with only some buzzing in the background. Being a horror movie I would assume people may be screaming in terror at the scary parts of the film. Video wise is not so great. The camera moves about during the film and you end up missing some of the movie from the chopping. Only recommend if you can’t wait for a better release.

Synopsis: Searching for his missing sister, Clay heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins that lie in wait behind moss-covered trees. And that’s not the only thing hiding under the brush. Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has with the help of a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are about to find much more than they bargained for. Little do they know, they’ve entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history - the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake armed with a razor-sharp machete…Jason Voorhees.

I saw this in theatres, the movie is crappy but I was never a huge fan of friday the 13th so maybe my opinion shouldn’t count. I was more of a freddy krueger fan, and still am. When I watch freddy kruegers old films I love them, but when I watch friday the 13th movies they’re just stupid. Maybe I enjoy the fact that Freddy tortures his victims and doesn’t kill them right away. Jason seems to kill his victims pretty damn quick.

Just do yourself a favor and save your time and money here. This is really the last straw with remakes here, and I’ve lost all hope that any one will be good. This has no heart, no soul, and doesn’t even come close to resembling what made the originals so great. I had a full theater and heard not a scream nor a laugh. And the general feeling walking out was "Eh…", and that was the most positive response.

Interesting. I’m what you’d call a hardcore F13 fan, and I thought this film was fucking balls-to-the-wall badass. Derek Mears brings an energy to Jason that I have never seen yet. My personal favorite portrayal is by Richard Brooker, but Derek Mears definitely takes second. If you’ve enjoyed any entry in the franchise, I highly recommend checking this out. It’s the best of all the recent horror remakes to come out (counting from TCM and onwards). Though, I suggest you do it in the theaters rather than a cam. I am only getting the cam because I really want to see it for a second time. I am going to see it as many times as possible in the theater, but my money situation is pretty low.

Seriously people, do yourselves a favor and at least see this once in the theater before downloading the cam. It comes highly recommended from not just a die-hard fan, but an obsessed F13 fan.

I hated the original Friday the 13th flicks. Every single one, no exception. I went to see this one out of boredom, and I loved it. How anyone thought this was boring is completely beyond me. This is the Saw generation, though, so I can see why some people might be beyond Friday the 13th. I guess. I think you’re crazy, honestly. My entire theater was loving it, and I heard a crapload of people making plans to go see it next weekend. I’ll be one of them. This was fucking awesome.
