I am not a usual music editor (this is my first music post ever) but this p2p release is floating around and a lot of people are downloading it. This is supposed to be the retail rip (finally).

Chinese Democracy is the upcoming sixth studio album by American rock band Guns N’ Roses, to be released worldwide on November 23, 2008 and in the United Kingdom on November 24, 2008.[1] Once released, it will be their first studio album since 1993’s “The Spaghetti Incident?”, and their first album of original studio material since the simultaneous release of Use Your Illusion I and II in September 1991. Retail store chain Best Buy will exclusively sell the album in the United States.

nice to see this is out early. I wonder how it compares to old GNR. You know, since Slash isn’t there, and neither is Duff McKagan or Matt Sorum. Its just Axl. And honesty, one person doesn’t make a band. Unless your Prince.

I’ll report back on quality and what not after its done downloading.

its hard for me to picture this release, in 320kbps, as only 165.5 MB. considering the 192kbps variable is a little under 130 kbps. something seems fishy about that release…

meh not a fan of the poppy Linkin Park type influence in this album (techno/hip hop elements..about 5 years too late to be called original Axl)..but it did have its moments. Definitely not GnR of old but it’s still good to hear Axl do his thing after all these years..even if it’s not with the original band members intact.
