You’ve probably noticed that the two things going on here tonight are jack and shit, so I thought  I’d take a minute to post something from my “make some popcorn, sit down and shut the fuck up while you watch something decent instead of jerking off over sparkling vampires” playbook. Yes indeed, this classic is indeed a film you should watch before you die - or at least, a film that if you haven’t watched, I’ll make you see before I off you myself for not having any taste and being oblivious to the fact because you spent your whole life rotting away in front of a playstation 3. This film is like… sitting in the back of a luxury car and getting head from the prettiest girl you can think of, while drinking your favourite drink, listening to your favourite music and being given a lapdance by the sexiest person you care to think of. Yeah. It’s that good my friends, this is how a film should and is rarely made these days.

I mean really, this film has everything; Natalie Portman way before she joined the cast of the shitfest that is the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Gary Oldman before the shitfest that is Dracula, and Jean Reno way way WAY before the shitfest that was the pink panther remake. If you haven’t seen this before, then take some time out and enjoy a classic from one of the most brilliant frenchman on the planet. The director used to bone milla jovovich you know. AND he directed the fifth element. Anyway. Enough of my insane rants, enjoy the film.

Quality: A Legendary film in 720p, which naturally means you can hear everything and see everything in a way that, when combined with a masterpiece like this, will make you weep. I SAID WEEP!

Synopsis: Mathilda, a twelve-year old New York girl, is living an undesirable life among her half-family. Her father stores drugs for two-faced cop Norman Stansfield. Only her little brother keeps Mathilda from breaking apart. One day, Stansfield and his team take cruel revenge on her father for stretching the drugs a little, thus killing the whole family. Only Mathilda, who was out shopping, survives by finding shelter in Léon’s apartment in the moment of highest need. Soon, she finds out about the strange neighbour’s unusual profession - killing - and desperately seeks his help in taking revenge for her little brother. Léon, who is completely unexperienced in fatherly tasks, and in friendships, does his best to keep Mathilda out of trouble - unsuccessfully. Now, the conflict between a killer, who slowly discovers his abilities to live, to feel, to love and a corrupt police officer, who does anything in his might to get rid of an eye witness, arises to unmeasurable proportions - all for the sake of a little twelve-year old girl, who has nearly nothing to lose.
