posterSo, last Tuesday on The Totally Rad Show the guys reviewed a new Swedish vampire horror film which has opened in selected theatres in the US called Låt den rätte komma in (Let the Right One In). They described this as being this years “The Orphanage” (The Orphanage being an absolutely amazing foreign horror film that came out last year), so I noted this one down and low and behold, SAPHiRE pops up with a DVDSCR. This film is apparently being remade in English for next year, but with an older cast.

Unlike Hollywood, this type of cinema really does deserve the respect, exposure and money it gets. So if you do like this movie, try and see it at a theatre or buy it when it eventually comes out on DVD! I doubt anyone will regret a purchase like this.

Quality - DVDDCR - Audio: 9/10, Video: 8/10, Movie: N/A
Well, as explained in the nfo this release is uncropped due to the subtitles, so that knocks the video rating down a bit, but still very good video, downside is a blurred watermark towards the bottom of the picture (above subs, which explains why the subs are out of the picture).

Plot: Oskar, a bullied 12-year old, dreams of revenge. He falls in love with Eli, a peculiar girl. She can’t stand the sun or food and to come into a room she needs to be invited. Eli gives Oskar the strength to hit back but when he realizes that Eli needs to drink other peoples blood to live he’s faced with a choice. How much can love forgive? Let The Right One In is a story both violent and highly romantic, set in the Stockholm suburb of Blackeberg in 1982.

Believe the hype, everyone…This is a truly original film that captures the uneasy primal fear/fascination that was the George A. Romero classic film, "Martin". Amazing cinematography, well-acted and unforgettable! Do not miss this movie.

Most interesting vampire movie I’ve seen, would definately recommend it, even though it’s sub’d. Also if Sweden is supposed to have the most beautiful women in the world, why aren’t any in this movie.

EMERALD is the DVD-R ergo it is about 5 Gigabytes big
the SAPHiRE version is XViD (encoded) and only 700 megabytes big, which is 0.7 gigabyte.
