Here we go one time releasers PusherCrew have released the first episode of the latest season of ABC’s Lost. This could have all sorts of problems with it due to the messed up ABC broadcast. Quality is fine, standard decent HDTV XviD release, just the problems with framerate from the source, ABC suck. Find the second episode here.

This was posted somewhere earlier today. Maybe on the thread for s05e02. Sounds like it was captured but there was some problems with the feed.

"ABC is using time compression (you may have noticed problems with grey’s anatomy / brothers & sisters) where they drop frames and fit a bit more commercials in and you dont notice watching on tv due to the dupe frames, but when its capped and the dupe frames removed it makes the playback jerky and this is the reason theres been no Ep 1 of lost pre’d yet…"

"We’ve had some signal problems while capturing the first episode, which is why Episode 2 was pre’d first"

Hopefully it comes out sooner rather than later.

@ Kareem : spot on mate, the UK groups usually do a good job with their caps. River always does excellent work with Top Gear and BiA is as good. Only thing is, this is shot on 24fps film and if it’s ripped by a UK group, it might be released at PAL framerate. Oh well, can’t be that picky.

I have downloaded all the following versions of episode 1 and as far as I can tell so far they’re all the exact same XviD - same exact size, length, bitrates, etc. Is there still a chance that one version is better than another or is this just an example of multiple groups releasing the same file? Has anyone noticed one of these being better than another?

@ 86 (RxNarcotix): Only Lost.S05E01.HDTV.XviD-PusherCrew is a scene release NOGRP and DrFox are just renames, and SC-SDH may also be a rename of the scene release, however that may be a seporate file.

Either way, we probably wont see a release without the frame problems until Sunday when it airs in the UK.
