The Camsters from CAMELOT release their second CAM of the day, this time a Spike Lee film. Spike Lee directed Inside Man with Denzel Washington, which is all I’ve ever really seen by him so apart from that I’m not really sure whether his films are recommendable. This film does however looks interesting AND valuable, so why not steal it?

Quality: I felt like starting this sentence with “Fu**ing awful” but that would have been distasteful. Instead I will go into a slow and painful explanation of the details that makes the quality so poor. First of all, its a CAM !! For those of you uneducated on the subject, that fundamentally means: a dude sat down in the cinema with a camcorder. This CAM is very similar to the “Appaloosa” one also released by CAMELOT today. Very grainy and desaturated. The perspective on this one is also off. It looks like the cammer sat quite far to the right (which is obvious in sample 3) and CAMELOT did not fix this. I’d wait for a better quality release since this film looks like it’s worth watching.

Synopsis: Miracle at St. Anna follows four black soldiers of the all-black 92nd Infantry Division who get trapped near a small Tuscan village on the Gothic Line during the Italian Campaign of World War II after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy. The story is inspired by the August 1944 Sant’Anna di Stazzema massacre perpetrated by the Waffen-SS in retaliation to Italian partisan activity. There is also a reference to a sculpted head from Ponte Santa Trinita in Florence that acts as a plot device.
