RELOADED are doing very well at the moment (as always). They have just released Mirrors Edge! This game has been on console for a while but I do know a few PC gamers that have been waiting to get their hands on this one, here it is!

Quite unusual indeed for a RELOADED release to be nuked, but hey its the truth. Wait for proper.

Description: Mirror’s Edge introduces players to Faith, a “runner” in a world where communication channels are highly monitored and the movement of human traffic is closely watched. When Faith’s sister gets framed for a murder she did not commit, Faith finds herself on the edge of the city, on the wrong side of the law. Mirror’s Edge delivers players straight into the shoes of this modern day heroine as she traverses the vertigo-inducing cityscape, engaging in intense combat, fast-paced chases and challenging puzzles. I wish there were more like xennews but through my looking over the months I havent found any like it.
Although if you have a credit or debit you can sign up for lots of free trials offered by different providers without ever spending a penny. Just be sure to cancel with the ones you use a card on before the trial is over.

Anyone get the "unable to run" bug on the 3rd Chapter Heat? 30 seconds after the level loads you are unable to run, hindering your ability to jump etc.

I think it’s a copy protection system.

Hey Lobby.

I’ve got the same problem!

The game runs at full speed, music and ambient sounds plays fine, cars and people go about their business down on the streets, I can hit things and turn on a dime but I can’t run. or barely walk for that matter. It’s like I’m waist deep in syrup and I’m trying to wade through it.

Anyone know how to fix this?

yeah. crack is just 1.0 - the patch just puts a new .exe in the game dir, so if you crack it you still get 1.00!! so we need a new crack.

it also stucks in chapter3 and slows you down, so that you can’t play / jump…

Yeah I think the sound is weird in this game. The effects are so loud, you can’t hear the dialogue. Even with dialogue volume turned up to max…

Anyway to turn effects (ambient especially) down?

Great game! works with the ORIGINAL patch file for me. v 1.00. It only works up until the third mission or so, then I get the whole "wading through slime" effect as well. Hopefully a new patch will be released soon!

The problem for this games is that it has "special triggers" in its protection. So if someone attempts to crack the game, the game will work but it will have strange behaviours (like the stage 3 problem that people is talking about), it has happened with some games (protected with securom) before. The only option is to wait for a new crack.

If you get the message that your game cannot be saved, it’s because you have remapped your home directory.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\Mirror’s Edge

There change the key Locale to the initials of the desired language. For example, if you want english change the key to: en

"Locale"="en"

Thanks mate, yes my dir "my documents" isn’t at its original place, so i’ll try to re-create the original my doc dir. Beacause logout, login just for this game is fastidious.

Hurle, This is the one I’m using. Works like a charm, hadn’t had any problems and I’m way past level 4.
