YES! I saw the trailer to this a while back and I’ve gotta say I’m psyched to see it released in high quality (me loves a good mockumentary). I believe they had a website where you could request to have a screening of this film in your city if it got enough votes. I doubt people will be voting now though. I reckon this is the kind of film you should support if you can however. I’ll be looking forward to this one as a nice horror flick, but in the same time I’ll be weeping for mankind because the “paranormal researcher” types described in the synopsis actually exist and manage to make a living in this world.

Quality: Very very, sweet as quality. This would of course be nuked for bad crop (see bottom side) if it was a scene release, but its such a small thing you really don’t need to worry about it. Cheers to IMAGiNE for this!

Synopsis: Katie (Katie Featherson) and Micah (Micah Sloat) are a twenty-something couple who’ve just moved into a new home in San Diego, California. Katie has an interest in the paranormal and believes that malevolent spirits have been following her since childhood, though Micah is not so easily convinced. However, after several nights of loud noises and strange happenings, Micah starts to agree with Katie that some sort of ghost may have followed them to the new home. After a paranormal researcher tells the couple he can’t help them, Micah decides to take control of the situation and sets up a battery of video cameras so if a spirit manifests itself, he can capture its behavior on tape. Once the surveillance cameras are in place, Katie and Micah bring in an Ouija board in an effort to talk to the spirits, a move that deeply offends the ghosts. Paranormal Activity was the firs feature film from writer and director Oren Peli.

Just so people know, this copy has 1 of the 3 endings. This DVDScr copy has an ending that is not the one in theaters and is not as effective as the other 2 endings but is still creepy.

Just a heads up to anyone curious.

BTW, this is 97 minutes, one in theaters is 86. This extended somehow?

YES at last I’ve read all about the other endings, yes that’s right other at least three that I’ve read about. One Katie possed sits days rocking phone rings it’s one of the friends calling for concern awhile goes by and you hear the woman Possed Katie goes downstairs the woman screams runs out. awsome release thanks guys,
just to clear a few things up this is 1 of 3 endngs and is in fact an ending from one of the earlier cuts. There are rumours that all the endings will be included in the dvd, but in my opinion this ending was far better than the theatrical release and is how the director intended it.
If you want to know more about the alternate endings follow the links ut beware they obviously contain spoilers.
I suggest watching this cut first then reading the other endings and see which you prefer.
