VoMiT has released this in DVD screener but it was missed, but DEViSE have just released a really nice copy of this war film as you can see in the snapshots. This film is aboot war and Canadadians and just the sample shows some pretty severe brutality, so dont watch this with your kids. Check the synopsis for more info about the plot.
Quality: this is a 1400 mb release, but as usual with DEViSE releases its not split into two CDs like with scene releases. Really nice quality though.
Synopsis: The main character is Sergeant Michael Dunne, introduced in the spring of 1917 after Vimy Ridge, a decorated veteran of the 10th Battalion, CEF. Sent home from Europe as a neurasthenia patient, he meets nurse Sarah Mann in Calgary, Alberta, where he enlisted. Mann is cashiered from military service because her father had left Canada to rejoin the German Army in 1915. He was killed at Vimy Ridge. She has become addicted to morphine as a means of dealing with the recurring loss in her life. David Mann is Sarah\’s younger brother; ineligible for military service due to asthma and desperate to win the respect of his girlfriend\’s father in a time when military service was expected of all young males, a series of events places him in the trenches in France, with Michael Dunne returning to France to watch over him, and Sarah returning to duty. The three arrive in Europe in time for the Third Battle of Ypres, and the fighting near Passchendaele.

"Aboot" is how Canadians say "about". It must have something to do with their pathetic love of the French.

Watch the 1983 film "Strange Brew". It is a true documentary about how whacked Canadians really are. "Aboot", "Eh?", "Take off you Hoser", etc. are all mainstays of Canadian language. Americans find Canadians amusing, yet weird and deceitful. Canada seems like some strange alternate-universe America where things just don’t seem quite right.
America for the win.
December 25th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
Yes, because films are fact, people wear capes and americans are the cookie cutter perfect we all need to be.
You americans wouldn’t suck so much balls if you sat down and understood how ignorant and ugly you are just like the rest of us, you fuck.
Now rip some soap out of that box because you folks are dirty indeed.
December 26th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
#26 :
You are just jumping on the "America is evil" bandwagon.
Wipe that maple syrup from your eyes and see the real truth.
If America is SO BAD, then why do millions of people try like crazy to
get into the USA and live off its wealth and freedom?
Get with program, eh?

On behalf of Canadians everywhere I’d like to offer an apology to the United States of America. We haven’t been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry.
I’m sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron but it wasn’t nice of us to point it out. If it’s any consolation, the fact that he’s a moron shouldn’t reflect poorly on the people of America. After all it’s not like you actually elected him.
I’m sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you doesn’t give us the right to sell you lumber that’s cheaper and better than your own.
I’m sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defence I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours.
I’m sorry we burnt down your white house during the war of 1812. I notice you’ve rebuilt it! It’s Very Nice.
I’m sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer but we Feel your Pain.
I’m sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you’re going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons.
And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I’m sorry that we’re constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way, which is really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you’re not upset over this.
We’ve seen what you do to countries you get upset with.
Owned.

FACT: Canada is a second-class country that wishes they had the wealth, power, military strength, freedom, nuclear strike capability, and intelligence of America. Don’t worry though. You are not alone. 99.9% of the rest of the world wants what America has.
FACT: Canada worships the French - the stinky, smelly, rude, anti-Semitic French.
Canada is not even close to being a "world power". USA, Japan, England, and even Russia and China far outrank Canada in terms of importance, intelligence, and technological progress. Canadians are inbred lumberjacks who are wannabe-frenchies!
(P.S. - Nobody gives a damn about hockey, just you hosers.)
(P.P.S - A Canadian hamburger is just a bun with a hockey puck in the middle.)
#28 - you will now be known as the PWNED SNOWBACK! HAHA eh!

I have seen the statistics on WWI fighting, deaths, battles of the various parties (australians, new zealanders, british, and the small US cavalry) in this war, seems to me CANADA WON WORLD WAR I! Of this group and if you go to France you’ll see GIGANTIC WAR STATUES reaching to the sky in honour of the winners of this war, CANADA. 100% DECISIVE AND ANNIHILATION OF THE GERMANS. 47 armies of the germans EVAPORATED BY the Canadian Army. The Germans were more SCARED OF THE CANADIAN UNKILLABLE Armies/Divisions because they had so much of killing experience of the opposing soldiers that anyone else. The Germans in practice of meeting the devastating Canadian Army of the Allies, trained all their new recruits on the US and British Armies so that they may live to fight in hope to win against the Devastating Canadian Army. Interesting tactics General Currie used because he knew that tactic of the Germans that the Canadian Army was facing all the Best of Germany was to remove the identifiable Canadian Markings on the Clothing, so that the Germans had to split their best forces further not knowing what if that was the Canadian Army or not. COME ON GOVERNMENT OF CANADA, PUMP MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO MAKE HEAVY SPECIAL EFFECTS FILMS for the what CANADA is known in EUROPE FOR, THE GERMAN KILLERS.
Bet you all the Germans what they saying during WWI is the Canadians are the real fighters. Canadians, watch out when you watch British/US programming on the subject, it is as if your history there didn’t exist.
famous names in this war - GENERAL CURRIE, BILLY BISHOP KILLER OF THE GERMAN BARON, etc.
In Montreal, Canada they have a SUBWAY/METRO STATION called PLACE D’ARMES and another CHAMPS DU MARS (CHAMPIONS OF THE WAR). And lots of streets in Montreal are named after WWI Soldiers in Winners of War.
Lots of stupid postings or irrelevant postings here, gheez.
