@ 4 (guess what): A dictionary attack on a password that simple is nothing compared to a random word with at least one number in it; this app is pretty much useless (ok, it will crack the pass eventually, but I think we will inhabit Mars before that happens :D ).

Useless app is useless. I downloaded an episode of breaking bad yesterday that was split up into a few password protected rar files and the site I got it from didn’t mention that it was password protected or what the password is. So I figured this would save me re downloading the show from elsewhere… It didn’t. Tried brute forcing it but it keeps claiming that "a" (the first password it attempts) is the correct one. The password is not a.

I tried a rar cracker more than 10 years ago, and i remember it estimated it would take 3months or something ridiculous so ive never bothered with these things again.
Tried this one just for a laugh and the thing crashes after 1minute on a password of "123". ive got an i7 and its not even using more than 20% cpu, it only manages 20 passwords/sec. USELESS

@ 11 (marsian) I don´t speak english very well, so I’ll try again:
This app can’t recover even a simple password like ABC123.
And I don’t care for ENGLISH dictionary attack. Tried a password like VAISEFUDER and it didn’t recovered it either. VAISEFUDER is in my dictionary.

I like how people keep trying these RAR-password crackers, etc, without actually bothering to learn that YOU CANNOT CRACK ANY REAL PASSWORD! Honestly. If you could do that, the fucking NSA would be at your door to arrest you, and potentially, offer you a job (do not bet on this. you will likely be shot instead, it is far cheaper and life is worthless). When will people learn? Passworded rars last teh longest, because you can’t get in without the password. Learn2scene.

This thing freaks out if you use something like an "Easter Egg" for password.. For those who don’t know what an "Easter Egg " is…well… errrr.. try making a folder called CON or con …. that’ll give you some idea.
