I have a question about the concept of this site, cos i am newb and dont understand it :).
So someone like an admin or a mod posts new releases.
And then eventually someone else posts dl links in the comment section, right?
I dont get that sry.
For example Bill is now out according to the post above, but there are no links (yet).
Makes me kinda wonder about this whole thing here.
Like a mod says it is released, but he doesnt post links himself?
Why?
And who posts the links then, just some randomly droppin by people who accidently have the dl links?
Sry, but i really dont get all that.
Can someone clear that up for me?

To answer the above post, Yes.

@1
First a Mod post links to SEARCH Usenet and Torrents
Second We Download From Usenet or Torrents
Third We Upload to a Fileshare site
Fourth We Post link in comment.
Fifth you download from either a posted link to a file sharing site OR but not repeat steps 2 - 4

I cant help myself, but your answers seem kinda sarcastic to me,lo.
Well, i guess i get the message.
What a miracle that whenever an admin posts a new release and says "enjoy" there are random people dropping by who have dl links.
Conincidence rocks ;).

this is a file ’sharing’ community after all.
every file that gets downloaded that someone’s uploaded usually counts towards a quota of points that can then be used for extended membership to places like rapidshare.
it’s the gift that keeps on giving!

@ 1 (jonny): Jonny, this site announces "Scene" releases. The Scene is a group of like-minded fanatics and techies dedicated to producing the highest quality encodes of movies, TV and music as well as other things like game rips and cracks. The Scene has very specific rules (perhaps too specific according to some people) and attempt to guarantee a consistently high quality so you can be sure you get a good file. Have you ever downloaded something from Pirate Bay and the aspect ratio is wrong or the audio and video are out of sync, or the last 5 minutes are missing? In the Scene, when that happens, the releases are "nuked" and replaced with a "proper" or "repack".
Because of the scale of what they do and its legal status in many countries, they do their work on a private network of peer-to-peer clients and FTP sites. Because you aren’t a member of the Scene, you don’t have access to them, so sites like this announce the new Scene releases and provide a forum for people to discuss the new releases and how to access them.
So you can read this site and look for direct download links (like RapidShare and HotFile, etc.) and download the files. There are also aggregation sites like NewsBin that use NZB files to help you find the same files on Usenet, or you can look for these files on popular public or private BitTorrent tracker sites.
To answer your original question, sometimes the scene release is announced before it is generally publicly available or widely distributed. Someone has to download it, and then upload it to a direct download site before they can post the links to it here, and that can take a few minutes. Just be patient.
