It scored an IMDB rating of 7.6 from 4,813 votes and a similarly high rating of 71% on rotten tomatoes. It looks like it could be entertaining if you’re into documentaries and/or religion - definitely looks like they tried to make the documentary as light-hearted as possible.

Quality: Pretty good quality, no timecodes/property of messages/black & white scenes from observing the video sample.

Synopsis: Bill Maher interviews some of religion’s oddest adherents. Muslims, Jews and Christians of many kinds pass before his jaundiced eye. Maher goes to a Creationist Museum in Kentucky, which shows that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time 5000 years ago. He talks to truckers at a Truckers’ Chapel. (Sign outside: “Jesus love you.”) He goes to a theme park called Holy Land in Florida. He speaks to a rabbi in league with Holocaust deniers. He talks to a Muslim musician who preaches hatred of Jews. Maher finds the unlikeliest of believers and, in a certain Vatican priest, he even finds an unlikely skeptic.

I personally don’t like Bill Maher, I think he’s got too high an opinion of himself. But he’s a smart guy and I’m sure he wouldn’t say all black people are trash.

None of you idiots have any idea what you are speaking about. Bill Maher was raised by Catholic parents. In a televised interview, he stated that he believed in the Catholic faith until he reached the age of reasoning–which many of you have not reached yet.

Politically, he is a Libertarian. He did not support Obama. He did state on national TV that Obama was a better choice than McCain, but he voted the Libertarian ticket–Bob Barr was his choice for president.

I really hope those bashing this film take the time to watch it.

Whether you live your life by the Qur’an, the New and Old Testament, or the Origin of Species, there’s many questions which one should ask themselves with absolute honesty before attacking the one questioning. If you are unable to do that, you won’t think straight.

These are questions people would be interested in hearing. This movie isn’t inflammatory, but rather a social commentary. If you can’t watch this because it contradicts your beliefs, sorry but your beliefs are fragile and will be overturned eventually as you are exposed to the world. For those of faith who watch and enjoy this, good on you.
