Brilliant! I have been waiting to see the BluRay release of this movie as I have heard a lot of positive things about it. It’s meant to be sad, but that doesn’t bother me, I think it must have a good story line.

Quality: As usual SEPTiC bring us a great quality release.

Synopsis: Once, Tim Thomas was a gifted aerospace engineer with a beautiful wife and a lovely beach house. Then, while using his cell phone while driving, his car wandered across lanes and he became responsible for the deaths of 7 others, including his beloved wife. Unable to forgive himself or raise the dead, Tim sets out to give “pounds of flesh” that will give new life to seven deserving individuals to make up for the seven lives he destroyed. Just as Antonio would have to die to pay Shylock the “pound of flesh” he demands, Tim intends to kill himself to atone for his sins. His brother Ben is deeply concerned about his state of mind. Tim steals his brother’s IRS ID to access the IRS database and to find and meet people who he believes worthy of his gifts which includes body organs and material possessions. Holly Apelgren, Ezra Turner, Connie Tepos and Emily Posa are among those whom he identifies to help. Furthermore, Tim assumes his brother’s identity of “Ben Thomas” to personally investigate these people and verify that they are indeed the right people he should help. He has a plan for when he identifies his 7 beneficiaries that requires his best friend Dan to see that his wishes are carried out after he is dead.

I thought this was quite a good movie. The plot becomes pretty transparent early on but the synopsis is a bit of a spoiler.

Wow, Seven Pounds again, that’s mint. Every day I visit this site and everyday without fail, another release of Seven Pounds!

I wish this film wasn’t such a giant pile of fucking shit because I would have it in about 50 different variations by now and I could alternate between them for the rest of my pathetic life!

When i first saw the trailer i thought it would be an awesome psycho movie with a good twist. but after an half hour i knew how its end and it was soooo boring… will smith is lately good at ruining his career…

You two must have very bad taste in movies… I watched the screener of this that came out in December I think and it was a very moving and well acted movie. The story is a very good one or atleast it was for me because I had ever heard anythign about the movie before I watched it so I was left guessing as to what the main character was doing.

I think this was a good move for Smith it shows that he can act as he puts in a brilliant performance through out the picture, with his performance out shining the rest of the cast and over shadowing the excellent screenplay.

I think there are some down points to it like all movies, for instance it doesnt have much rewatch value as the movie is based around a story that while excellant isnt exactly one that will bring you back for more. While the acting is top notch I think the casting of Rosario Dawson was a mistake as I dont think she delivers a very good performance.

But apart from those minor things this is an excellant movie that everybody should watch atleast once… the only down side being that by now you probably know exactly what its about and therefore loose alot of what the movie is about.

Imagine that everyone around you thought Barney the Dinosaur was a seriously good piece of work, that the acting was superb and that the storyline was compelling and deep. You on the other hand could actually see the truth, that Barney was a shallow souless beast, peddled to a target audience consisting of those without the experience, maturity or intellectual capacity to realise it.

I think you’re probably pretty young, there is plenty of time for you to develop a real appreciation for film and when you do the above scenario will suddenly seem, not so absurd..

Also, you will end up watching 100x as many films in an endless quest for those few rare gems.
