PVR brings us this great documentary with yet another angle on the Sept. 11th attacks on New York. I have watched nearly every 9/11 documentary there has been since that day, I love them and hate them. But they are all intriguing, this one is no different.

The 911 Hotel
Seven years after 9/11, this powerful documentary brings a fresh angle on the terrorist attack. It reveals the extraordinary stories of the people trapped in the 22-storey Marriott World Trade Center Hotel, which nestled beneath the twin towers. Up until now, these stories of luck, sadness, bravery and heroism have rarely been reported; this impressive programme more than compensates. The Marriot was one of New York’s busiest hotels. At 8.45am on 11 September 2001, the hotel was at full capacity, with more than 1,000 people staying in its 825 rooms. While guests were finishing their breakfasts, working out in the gym or relaxing in the luxury pool, the hotel’s tranquil environment was shattered by the roar of jet engines and the horror of falling and burning debris.

Hey,

If you do not like America then go somewhere else. Perhaps you would rather live downtown in Al Kut or Baghdad.

6. Stealth3si says:

@ 4 (blackmesa): Logical fallacy: proof of assertion.

7. Saturn says:

Seriously, you can’t make a claim if you can’t back it up. If you have zero proof… shut up.

there are too many vids there, but the blind rednecks won’t understand them.

11. blackmesa says:

@ 9 (thenyproject):
:S sarcasm doesnt work with text.

12. Stealth3si says:

@ 10 (Kill Putin): Another conspiracy video made by another conspiracy theorist speculating the same theory you’re speculating. Right.

Is there anything new and concrete?

13. Stealth3si says:

Anybody who devotes so much time and energy to conspiracies should always be suspect and never taken seriously.

15. Doc Militarism says:

want to see the world? join the military.

live your patriotism and fight the phantom with us.

don’t worry your enemy is a ghost. you won;’t make it back home to tell everyone.

16. Stealth3si says:

@ 14 (Steven Otero): The first one has already been thoroughly debunked. That alone should tell us the rest are flimsy at best.

17. Ronnie says:

you left out the video of bigfoot and alien autopsy.

18. Stealth3si says:

@ 14 (Steven Otero): What I love about documentaries is reading negative reviews on them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Christian, Atheist, Liberal, or Conservative documentary but the critics who don’t like it always call it "propaganda". Isn’t the purpose of the documentary to push you towards the maker’s thought belief and bully you with facts that refute the opposing side’s opinion? As far as I am considered that makes every documentary propaganda. I know that some documentaries claim to just be showing the truth on a subject, but let’s face it; they all have an agenda. In the same sense it’s notorious of documentaries to leave out facts in order to support their view. I wasn’t surprised when they did it in King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters or Fahrenheit 9/11, and I won’t be surprised by any other documentary that does it either. That makes Bloodlines a propaganda because it completely skews and ignores facts on the ground in favour of a controversy that shouldn’t exist. I would not be surprised if the filmmakers engaged in deceptive interview tactics, non-sequitar and equivocation. It is a waste of time.

It doesn’t have to be misinformation, or a show/text/etc. that deliberately skews or omits facts, but it’s not exclusive to those tactics. There are more or less sophisticated, or not, alternatives in achieving the same goal.

These types of documentaries, if not almost all, are probably the second least-trustworthy source of information, right after online journalism. They rely on only a handful of experts, and since they’re looking for experts who are able to devote a lot of time to them they’re usually getting people on the edges of the community in question who are invested in pushing some agenda. And because the documentary is run by film-makers rather than actual experts the editing room tends to turn the source or interviewees’ message into something other than what it actually is.

19. Stealth3si says:

@ 17 (Ronnie): …and the "fake moon-landing/Jewish-holocaust" vids too?

20. Yoshi says:

32. Wake up and smell the coffee says:

The damage to the Pentagon seemed rather inconsistent with what we are supposed to believe happened. The images from the security camera that "showed" what happened didn’t provide anything noteworthy. Hell, I think my crappy, three year old webcam could have provided a clearer image.

Stealth3si says:
"Anybody who devotes so much time and energy to conspiracies should always be suspect and never taken seriously."

Sir/madam, anyone who will simply believe the bullshit spoon fed to us by the media everyday and is incapable of looking outside the box and thinking for one’s self should have their examined. The whole WMD fiasco proves that Bush is nothing but a lying sack of shit. I certainly wouldn’t put it past that worthless piece of crap to have help orchestrate the happenings of that day. I’m rather surprised someone hasn’t put a bullet in that moron’s brain.

The Bush Administration - FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodbye and good riddance!

33. Steven Otero says:

Yes, the Bush Administration does equal fail. But neither John McCain or Barack Obama will save us. Stop buying into the false left/right paradigm.

Loose Change Final Cut has not been debunked by any means. The debunkers never debunk anything. They just attack and attack..

Why would you say that? I don’t see anyone here who fits that description.

36. Joe says:

wtf - this isn’t on mininova, piratebay or newtorrents - why cant people share?

Funny. That could easily also pass on as the same description for those who faithfully jump onto the 9/11 truth movement bandwagon.

38. mike101 says:

I believe it was an inside job also. To many questions that they avoid.

39. Bryan says:

Any torrent links please? :)

40. Stealth3si says:

I believe it could possibly be an inside job.

But I’m not too sure how politicians avoiding questions could possibly mean just that. Part of a politician’s job duties are to avoid questions. So that is not good reason to believe in a conspiracy theory.

It’s a leap of faith to go from "avoiding questions" to "it’s an inside job."

41. Mr X [staff] says:

I don’t believe in conspiracy theories. I’m a realist, and from regarding the facts, from many sources ‘besides’ the corporate and NWO controlled media, that the free-fall speed of two high-rise buildings designed to withstand multiple impacts of 737s (biggest airliner of that time) where orchestrated perfectly by means of controlled demoliton. It’s sort of one of those technical marvels - executed perfectly, but at the loss of many lives. Just like little boy and fat man nukes dropped on Japan in WWII .

42. Stealth3si says:

@ 41 (Mr X):Although certain conspiracy theories are very well established ideas, such as the Watergate scandal, facts by themselves are meaningless for they can be used to "prove" anything that is even remotely true. The evidence or "facts" only say as much as the interpretations behind them. And the interpretations are only as good as the interpreter’s presuppositions, which falls back on their logic and worldview.

The problem with such a worldview, whoever holds it, is that "everything you know is a lie," "everyone who does not believe is part of the conspiracy" and "everybody is against you and set out to get you." It is a mindset based on paranoia and distrust which still lingers long after the Cold War. With this logic, "anything seems to make sense."

The "demolition theory," however, is not very tenable. Dateline and Popular Mechanics debunked that conspiracy theory as well.

I would consider it to be more speculation as opposed to a consensus in such a community of theories.

43. Frogger says:

I don’t see it as a theory when the insurmountable evidence points to ‘a hand in’ if not a total ‘inside job’ by the US goverment.

I was in the US 7 times since 9/11 and 99% of US citizens believe this was NOT and inside job, but i spend the most of my time working in Germany and the UK and I can say with hand on heart the ‘majority’ of people I speak to in European countries don’t even question that this was some sort of inside job, they just except it and laugh quietly at the obliviousness of American and their willingness to believe what their despicable goverment tells them with eyes wide shut!

@34 Wake up and smell the coffee… I agree.

44. Stealth3si says:

And since when did popular opinion in Germany or UK make a theory into fact?

If the rest of the world believes it was an ‘inside job’ then I suspect their belief is based more on their preconceived attitude towards America’s foreign policy than anything else that could be either feasibly or concretely proven otherwise; not the other way around.

Frankly, I’m not at all surprised. The world after all has a very low opinion of America from the git-go. And rightly so.

45. Stealth3si says:

@ 43 (Frogger): Frogger says: "I don’t see it as a theory when the insurmountable evidence points to ‘a hand in’ if not a total ‘inside job’ by the US goverment."

Much of this "insurmountable evidence" are plagued with contortions to make it appear a certain way. I know that people claim to believe "the unseen truth" on a subject, but let’s face it; they all have a predisposed agenda.

In the same sense it’s notorious of conspiracy theorists, including the colonies of internet "911 docos" like LC and Zeitgeist, to engage in deceptive practices like misinformation and logical fallacies in their arguments that they conveniently leave out facts in order to support their view.

In a court of law, a case built upon evidence that points to an indictment against the defendant does not prove it. It’s still a "theory" until convicted by the verdict of a jury or the decision of a judge.

Any good lawyer will carefully select a jury that is "neutral" towards the defendant, not a jury that is based on prejudices, like the world is to America.
