This could be one of the biggest movies of the season and might even win best picture at the Oscars. I have been wanting to watch this film and have known at some point a nice DVDScreener would be released. Well that day has come…kinda. There has been much debate over this screener rip since it hit p2p early today. For more details on that read below. I will try to update with any new information I find.

Quality: DVDscreener(p2p). I am going to try to be as detailed as I can without having seen the whole release yet. The first p2p release of this was 15 hours or so ago, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (2008) DVD.Screener-Bloodshot. That release was encoded in the MOV format and people have talked of audio problems with that release. That could be because they did not have the right codecs installed or something with the release. I can not personally be sure yet. A few hours ago DEViSE released this copy of the film. People have said there is something missing at 34 mins into this release and the other release. It could be only a few seconds. If scenes in the Bloodshot release were missing they will be missing in this release too because DEViSE used the same source as them as noted in the NFO file. I have not heard any reports of black and white screens/warning messages/ect yet. I seen a 4min sample of this release and it looked fine as far as video and audio. That is most of what is known about this release by me at this time. If you can’t wait any longer and must see this movie now by all means go for it. A scene release will be out before long I would imagine either from the same source as used here or maybe even a different source.

Synopsis: Director David Fincher and Brad Pitt team up for a third time with this adaptation of a F. Scott Fitzgerald short story. Pitt plays a man who is born 80 years old, but instead of aging, he grows young. Oscar winner Cate Blanchett costars, along with Taraji P. Henson and Tilda Swinton.

I just saw this release on tehPARADOX.com literally 4 minutes ago and was going to comment on it as soon as started to download it the rapidshare links died… hopefully it wont be as hard to get on rapidshare as the dark knight was when the first screener of that came out.

I’d say if you absolutely have to see this film right now, do it justice and go to the theatre! These other screeners are of movies coming out in limited release and are hard to come by in theatres, but this is in wide release and can easily be found playing somewhere near, I’d definitely recommend seeing it on the big screen. (My digital theatre looked AMAZING haha! =D)

from exactly 36:23 there’s about 1+ minute of missing footage, confirmed this with a friend who watched this in theaters. and no im not talking about the MOV release by Bloodshot.

im gonna wait to see if the scene can spit up a clean different source.

just finished the movie..two thumbs up. no black and white scenes. it does skip twice but no biggie, it doesn’t ruin the storyline.

They may be short scenes (probably less than 3 minutes lost overall), but they’re integral to the storyline.

The p2p version is MUCH MUCH better imo. Crisp video, crisp audio. Even though it skips at some points, thus missing a couple minutes of footage, I really don’t care. It doesn’t affect the movie at all.
It honestly looks almost 720p on my computer.

@ 13 - I write em on DVDs but I prefer 700 MB rips too. Gives good DVDRip qlty in 700 MB for a std length movie. I guess "12" forgets that this movie is over 2.5 hrs! Perhaps 1 GB should suffice?

Pretty decent quality, certainly watchable. But as mentioned, there IS a couple of small chunks missing from the movie (it kinda jerks and skips through a few mins of the movie). I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it and found that the missing parts did not effect the storyline at all. Thanks.

Am I alone here to think this movie wasn’t all that? Maybe I went into it expecting way too much due to the hype? The acting was good, but the storyline was nothing special other than the whole reverse aging angle.

I think so far this year, my fav Oscar worthy movies are Slumdog Millionaire and Towelhead. Gran Torino was alright, but Seven pounds was eh.

None of you probably care about my opinion, but I wanted to share anyway.
