They should have been a lot more loyal to the books… i really hate that they made Zed and Richard complete strangers. Their relationship Zed being Richards grandson and all was one of the key points of it.
But anyway I’m gonna keep watching this for a while and see if it gets any better.

This MUST be the MOVIE of the first book??? (unless there are prequels I am not aware of)..The first book starts exactly like this..and it’s actually pretty close to the storyline of the first Sword of Truth book - Wizard’s First Rule" .. so I am not sure what aadhu is ragging on about …I guess it takes up afterward with the series..I will be checking this out..Goodkind’s fantasy series is one of the best I have read …
