Here is a horror flick a lot of people have been waiting for in decent quality and surprisingly non-scene group TDM are the first to release this english audio R5. This film stars Brooke Shields and British tough guy Vinnie Jones. It had received some pretty nice ratings on IMDB and it’s directed by a Japanese director (that’s a plus for a horror film). 7.3 for a horror flick is great, so this should be a no-brainer for fans of the genre. Enjoy.

Quality: The video quality looks really great and the audio sounds good, just a bit hollow at times which is common since English audio has to be sourced from elsewhere to be synced to the video (original audio is Russian). Check the sample below and judge for yourself.

Midnight Meat Train is directed by critically acclaimed Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus, Azumi, Sky High) in his American debut, and based on legendary horror writer Clive Barker’s popular, eponymous short story from his classic Books of Blood collection. The screenplay was adapted by Jeff Buhler.

When Leon Kaufman’s (Bradley Cooper) latest body of work – a collection of provocative, nighttime studies of the city and its inhabitants — earns the struggling photographer interest from prominent art gallerist Susan Hoff (Brooke Shields), she propels him to get grittier and show the darker side of humanity for his upcoming debut at her downtown art space.

Too bad it’s out of synch.
It’s not all oos but both cd’s are affected by it, mostly during action scenes. Don’t ask me why that is. During spoken parts it is annoying.

I’d say:
audio 6/10
videa 8/10

The audio is slightly out, but I couldn’t really notice it that much. The only issue I had is the audio is a bit messed in quality wise. The frequencies keep going in and out a lot. But other than that, another few thing I noticed is the classic movie reel noise. I really wonder if this is a rare telecine of the film not an r5 at all.

I saw the name of this movie, and immediately burst out laughing. I have tears running down my face now. It completely caught me off-guard. I just saw the picture of the guy with the mallet and the name "Midnight Meat Train." Too much lolz.
