Here’s DEViSE with a BluRay rip of the movie “Up”. Enjoy this movie in 720p! Also, I questioned myself upon seeing the new tag in the rls name. Seems like DEViSE has come out with something new. I don’t think this kind of release is that new. Groups like Nhanc3 have been doing this size HD rips for years. I’m not sure if they were DXVA compatible though, but they had AAC audio.

You don’t understand? Because if you compress something too much it looks and sounds like total shit!! I don’t mind downloading 4GB releases on a 12Mb/sec connection. It takes me less than an hour.

This is good though that HQ release is of this size but to call it 720p isn’t exactly accurate. The bit rate would only be 2Mb/sec, really too low.

AAC I hear ya. DTS/AC3, even though they are lossy, still are a better alternative.

DEViSE is awesome!
I download mostly mHD rips Audio Man and you are wrong, these releases are just as good as regular 720p releases.
I downloaded a couple of regular 720p and m720p releases and there was no difference in audio and no difference in picture when watching the movie (you pause it and analyze for a minute then you might see a difference).

BTW microHD rips are nothing new. Got myself a dozen, of movies which dont really deserve a full dvd, but are still good enough for a second (or 3rd) watch
I prefer the regular 720p though…

Great stuff from Devise! The extra video bitrate on DVD5 720p rips makes a minimal difference compared to the extra resolution and h264 encoding. Those kingdom releases coming in at about 1.4gb and looking great is good evidence of this.

Around 2gb is definitely optimal for a 720p rip in terms of size/quality.

These releases are good for those with smaller monitors or hdtv’s, or for animations. But saying these are the same quality as a normal 4-8GB 720p release is just ridiculous. Normal 720p releases are huge sizes for a reason.

Hell if I kept everything I downloaded too, I wouldn’t have any more space. Usually, once a week, I do a house cleaning on the old HDD. Stuff that sucked gets erased, not worth keeping. Stuff worth keeping, gets put on a DVDR and then erased. Either way, it doesn’t stay on my HDD long.

Remember when mp3’s use to be wav? Have you been smoking crack? Wav is a lossless format while mp3 is lossy, two different things. Size does matter moron. Over compression introduces artifacts but you are too fucking blind probably anyways to see that.

These Releases are great for your xbox360 and ps3. If the file doesn’t play on your xbox360 its extremely easy to change it to two-channel-audio. Takes about 5 mins. I watch these releases all the time through my xbox360 on a 42 inch sharp lcd and 90 to 95% of the time the quality is amazing for the size. Specially compared to 1080p blu-ray movies from the 80s and 90’s.
