For those of you that don’t know this, for the past 9 years, Fabric has grown to become the most highly regarded dance music venue of the world. Located on Charterhouse Street, London, it features 3 separate rooms (one of them with the famous “Bodysonic” dancefloor) and each weekend clubbers get to choose between the FabricLive nights with drum and bass, hip hop, electro and breakbeat DJs, on Fridays or the self-titled Fabric nights, on Saturdays, with mostly house, tech house and techno DJs.
As support for their parties and as an highlight for their diverse music policy, they’ve created their own independent label and mixed compilation series. These were named Fabric and FabricLive featuring artists from both of the nights and are released on alternate months. These series have already featured a great roster of artists such as Swayzak, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Metro Area, Nitin Sawhney, Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kuts, Simian Mobile Disco, etc. On January, 2009, Fabric will reach its 44th installment, and behind the works is the most renowned techno DJ and producer, John Tejada.
This is a heavily edited studio mix from Tejada, not your average bedroom mix tape. In his own words he said: “I did edit the tracks quite a bit.. to take it one step above of what you might hear when a DJ plays out. I wanted the whole track selection to turn into one piece of music: a techno-classical piece that has movements and moods from start to finish, similar to a conductor with a classical piece of music”.

I’ve seen very little by K0tik other than this (and similar) genre of music. Music posts are okay, but I’d appreciate it if the variety was increased… I like punk/rock/metal, etc, but I wouldn’t care to even see some hip hop/rap/etc. the same dance/electric posts over and over are getting old, but I wouldn’t mind them so long as I knew the same enthusiasm would go into posts about music I actually like.

@ 5 (TK):
give the guy a break! he just started posting stuff in the last week. getting old???
and if you really think all the stuff he’s posted are similar, you either:
a) haven’t been paying attention
b) have a very narrow view of musical genres
glasvegas? feist? those two have almost nothing in common with the genre represented by this fabric mix! geez. expand your horizons a bit. or just scroll over. it’s not that difficult.

@6 Relax! : It was a relaxed post imo, I wasn’t trying to be insulting I was trying to help, I said in there I would just like to see more variety and that he is very enthused in his posts, and that I would like to see that enthusiasm in all (more) music posts.
@13 K0tik: I looked at that several times over and really thought about it, I look at most types of music, download most movies/tv shows/ and xbox360/pc games that are released by the scene, but I’m not sure if I have the time necessary, but since you obviously do, Post more genres, or do a few mass music posts once in awhile! would really help, thx.
