posterI think this release has surprised quite a few people. But screeners are to be expected now as we approach various awards. So, great job to ALLiANCE for being first to pre, I only hope they maybe pre a repack and do a better job with blurring the watermarks.

Quality: The video is good but a tiny bit blocky in places with low bitrate. Probable text at the bottom and a time code at the top has been blurred out. The worst thing is that the blurred area is pink! Audio is awesome and clear, overall a decent DVD screener release.

Plot: What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL*E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL*E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL*E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets an adventure into motion. Joining WALL*E on his journey across the universe is a cast of characters including a pet cockroach and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

What the hell? I live in Germany and my German is as good as my English (which is my mother language) I just spent a while looking at "xREL", and it is absolutely rubbish?!?! It’s just porn and the occasional big movie release with NO comments and NO dl’s… so I think I have done as you asked and decided between the two sites…

p.s. I believe the majority of Editors here at Zerosec are not American and that this site is for obviously for everyone UNLIKE xREL.

OT.. I’ve waited quite a while for a good copy of this, I think I shall wait a little longer.

What’s with all the poor aspect ratio cropping, weird blurring effects and sloppy encoding from dvdrip these days? When torrents started, they encoded good, and left the screener, work prints in "raw" condition. People who downloaded knew full well that pop ups and text were there, it’s better than putting make up on it. Yes I do know about encoding, I do a very good job at it to.

Honestly, the scene has nothing to do with torrents, and torrents are a new technology of juts a few years. The scene has been going strong since the 80s :P

Anyway, often time codes can be used as a means of tracking the source of a screener/workprint, as in who leaked it, so they are often blurred or blocked out for that reason. But just why ALLiANCE decided to do it how they did is beyond me, a normal blur, or even a solid black block would have been a lot better.

I wonder how ALLiANCE encoded this one. It’s the only (so far) non-x264 xvid movie I have tried to play on my XBOX using XBMC which actually lags and skips frames. I have tried the sample from The Mummy and X Files, with no problems. Am I the only one who are experiencing this?

they could have put a little more effort in on the blur. i’ve seen a lot less noticeable blurs used by other groups that didnt rush out a release just to be first.

It would appear you are a member of the forum so log on and go to the tutorials section. Look for Chrome 307 guide for How To Use Logoaway To Blur out Timecodes (page 3).Don’t know how good you are with Virtualdub
but if you can follow his guide your halfway there.See how far you get then pm me through the forum.The black bars were added in Tmpgenc when i converted the AVI to MPG.By tomorrow there will be a dozen versions of
Wall e with better blurring than this. Always easier to download one of those.If you really want to learn i will only be a Pm away.
