Something which this crew has done in the past (but not on this site) is Release roundups and here is our first ZeroSec one. Basically it will allow you to catch up on the most popular releases of the past week, but also check out some of the most interesting forum threads of the week.

If you like this idea, give us your opinion in the comments! What do you like, what do you think could be improved? Currently the oldest releases are posted first in each list for example, what do you think about that?

A good weekly summary is extremely helpful for people who dont hit the site every day. What order it appears in is personal choice if not irrelevant

Yes yes, you should definitely make this the norm. A weekly roundup of the most popular releases is great for many reasons; the more important being that it serves as a quick glance for people who don’t get the chance to check the site every day, and end up missing a few things.

What would be even better is if you made each week’s roundup accessible via a top-page dynamic link, or something like that. I see that it’s in the categories, and that’s good, but a static link that updates each week to point to that week’s roundup would be even more helpful.

Under the search box? Or maybe under "Categories," but at the top of the list instead? Just throwin out my thoughts…

Maybe put the full list behind a cut? It’s too large to be put on front page.
As for sorting - most popular first seems to be more logical to me. You do have a download/post view count somewhere, don’t you?
